Our Story
Pet Wicks was created by pet owners for pet owners. After watching her cat struggle with anxiety, one of our founders, Lynzie, began a search for pet-safe anxiety-reducing products. To her surprise, there were very few, and those that did exist were expensive or simply unattractive. She brought this concern to the rest of the team, and we all admitted we had been there too. Whether it be anxiety, restlessness, or depression, we had all seen our pets experience these negativities and had yet to find a remedy. And just like that, Pet Wicks was born!

We set out to create an aesthetically pleasing candle to relieve stressors in both pets and humans. We have
seen amazing results so far, and are continuing to research and grow! We believe that finding affordable
and effective pet care should be simple and fun, and we hope you will join us on our journey!

Pets are our priority. To reflect our commitment to our pets and yours, we have created a candle that
is extra safe to burn in a pet-friendly environment. Every candle is made with thick-walled glass,
a non-slip silicone bottom, and safe ingredients like soy wax and sustainably sourced essential oils.

Along every step of the journey, Pet Wicks has animal safety at the forefront of our mission. We know
that candle-making and essential oil extraction are not usually sustainable processes. And because
of this, we differ in how we do business to support animals and the Earth in every step from manufacturing to delivery.

Pet Wicks only sources materials from companies supporting sustainable and ethical manufacturing processes and ingredients. This means that the companies we partner with have properly acquired the resources to harvest essential oil ingredients such that it does not disrupt ecosystems and habitats
nearby. Additionally, all employee work conditions will have a strict code of conduct to ensure that
all business practices are in line with Fair Trade International Standards.

Our products only consist of safe and high-quality ingredients. The candles are 8 oz, single wick, contained in thick, high-quality glass. The candles are made of 100% soy wax to ensure they are safe
for humans and animals. Typically, leading candle brands use a cheap paraffin-based wax that is made from fossil fuels. When they burn, they release carcinogenic materials into the air that is highly unhealthy for pets and humans. Soy wax is both sustainably made and does not release harsh chemicals into the air when lit. Moreover, each candle will include a non-slip base to secure the candle from moving on any surfaces and prevent any accidents from occurring.
